The presentation will discuss researching in baptismal, marriage and burial records of the Catholic Church in Italy. Tips for reading Latin and a brief case study will also be presented. Understanding these principals for Italy can also help with Catholic Church research worldwide.

    It is a double 5!!!!!!!!\n\nI've subscribed to the webinars after taking the British-Wales webinar yesterday and the Italian webinar today. Learned quite a bit and thankful for the help.\n\nLots of good information\n\nOttima Presentazione Suzanne! Grazie! From a frenchman in Amherstburg, Ontario where our mixed population had many Italians with their own Verdi club, Italian masses and, of course, choir. Ciao e stai al sicuro.\n\nShe speaks so clearly, a pleasure to listen to. Also great info.\n\nSo many ideas because we do know town from 1800s. Have an Italian marriage certificate for great great grandparents in 1870s. Know what to look for (glad I took Latin in the 1960s. Has been very helpful)\n\nSpeaker was very clear in her presentation, easy to follow. \n\nSuper\n\nsuper informative. Good examples. I have searched thousands of civil records and only see a couple examples of parish records. Great info. Suzanne was a good presenter. THANK YOU!\n\nSuzanne is my cousin, we share relatives from St. Louis. She is just awesome, as usual. I actually forgot about the Mother Church records in Sicily. I usually look at civil records. I did not know about the Church Census Records which look like an incredible resource.\n\nExcellent presentation! Material presented clearly, and easy to understand language. Now I need to but my knowledge into practice.\n\nI made notes about BYU's handwriting page, consanguinity, Stato Della Anime, qm, processetti is held at the parish level, dispensation is at the Dioceses level, the dictionary of Latin abbreviations, and affinity. Even though I've been working with the online church records for Acerra for years, looks like I still had more to learn. Thank you.\n\nI particularly enjoyed the case study.\n\nI thought I knew a lot about Italian records, but I learned a few new things. Thanks!\n\nI would rate beyond 5, if I could.....excellent.\n\nI'm just now tackling our family's Italian lineage, so this was extremely helpful! Many thanks!\n\nI'm new to Italian research.
