What a great presentation about such an important topic! It's crucial that our research approach, as well as the tools we use to capture the data we find, are able to accommodate the actual state of humankind and not just what some see as their narrow view of their world.

Excellent. I'm currently going through the navy records of an uncle that I am sure was gay. So was my dad and two of my uncles. Maybe as I go through the BIRLS file, I will discover something.

WOW! That was a fantastic webinar by Michael. Thanks to him for helping me understand and learn about this topic. I appreciate the sensitivity this topic is and how to represent ancestors that are in this category. I felt his emotions as he presented. It gives me information to share with others.

Fascinating discussion. I had a gay uncle and when I look at that side of the family, there are hints of others before him. I will now re-examine those ancestor in light of what I learned today.

Fascinating! I can see the issues discussed today becoming more and more of a topic of interest for genealogists in the coming years now that we are somewhat more open to recognizing individual differences. I appreciate the open, honest, and very thoughtful discussion.
