Have been a Genealogist for 25 years now and started using Legacy 9 about three years ago, after the software package I started with was not supported any more. I purchased two other major competitors products prior to trying this package, but found I kept going back to the old software on a old computer - But found this was far more to my liking than the other two software packages and its free! for the basic software. I personally purchased the deluxe version for the reports, but these will not be needed for most home researchers. I certainly recommend that all beginner's use it, and get my family to get a copy so they can see our family tree.\nFor general data input I would give a 5/5, but splitting off sections of your tree, to a new tree, is a bit more tricky. Also the "source input" can be considered as cumbersome initially, but I found a format that met my needs.\nDavid - Isle of Man

Thank you folks. I've been around family tree software far longer than I wish admit to; I would wish to not mention names of others. I moved over to Legacy hoping support would be better than my previous experiences. Great big high five to each and every one of you!

Good video. Normally I hate watching a video, but this one was well made. I also want to tell you that, in spite of having an Ancestry account, when I really want to move about among my ancestors I use Legacy. Ancestry has lots of information, but it's not as comfortable. So I have them both open and move from one to the other. I thought you might like to know a customer's habits.

I downloaded V10 and ran it easily. It converted my old files and looked just like Legacy 9 with all my data exactly the way it was before. However, I am now exploring the new features and am impressed. Thanks. John, Ontario, Canada
