We never knew the birth parents of my 2nd great grandmother, Sena. Her mother died on the ship coming from Norway. Baby Sena was raised by another Norwegian family. This case study details how an X-DNA match led me to Baby Sena’s father—my 3rd great grandfather. This talk covers X-DNA inheritance patterns and how they can help you determine how you’re related to a match.

Love Mary Eberle and her case studies! Thanks for this excellent one on inherited X chromosome.
Very interesting to see how you used X-DNA to help solve your mystery! Now I'm brainstorming ways to utilize this in my own mystery...Thank you so much!
Very Interesting. I've not thought about tracking XDNA, until now. Looking forward to giving it a shot!
Very clear and comprehensive overview of presenter's methodology and rationale for identifying her ancestor.
An interesting example of real live research. Thanks!
Even as this was basically the same process that I used to find my unknown grandfather, I still learned more about using and analyzing x-DNA. I did not have to struggle with Norwegian ancestry but did have to search through the aliases that my grandfather used during his lifetime, or from Henry C. Clark to Henry Clay.
Great information! I will need to watch this one again! Thank you.
This had really good information and gave me new ways to think about using DNA matches.
