About this webinar

Even now, genealogy for underrepresented populations can be considered "impossible." In this talk you'll learn which populations are considered so, why that is, and techniques for expanding your genealogical skills. I use Chinese genealogy but the lessons are applicable for all underrepresented genealogical groups.

A wonderful speaker on a topic most of us know little about. It opened our eyes to the challenges of Chinese genealogy but gave us hope for limited success in identifying possible sources and a research strategy. Linda is very organized and develops the subject in a logical order. She is a pleasure to listen too. You should invite her back to develop aspects of her presentation in more detail.

Even though my ethnicity is NOT Chinese I learned a tremendous amount of information that will help me with my impossible genealogy.

A very interesting and comprehensive presentation. Linda provided many very helpful insights concerning research strategies, but I picked up quite a number of subtle hints that are relevant to research in Australia that Linda may not have realised the value of. In a couple of instances, I thought that a stream of thought or concept was not sufficiently developed and Linda moved on to a new topic leaving some questions unanswered. No doubt time constraints were relevant and this is understood.
