Topographic maps and soil maps should help us identify a community, including neighbors, ferries, mills, cemeteries, historic houses, and many other landmarks. By using a combination of resources, the picture of this community will be more visible and more clearly understood.

Outstanding. Mark is always educational
Mark is one of the best speakers in the U.S. for maps. The online resource list will be extremely useful in my future research. Thanks so much for a wonder ful webinar.
Looking forward to see other workshops from J. Mark Lowe! Thanks!
This was very helpful; I learned so many ways to augment my research and find current locations of land, cemeteries, and buildings from the past.
So many excellent ideas - especially love that a lot of the samples come from areas I'm researching!!
Mark never disappoints. Excellent webinar. Off I go to look for Post Office maps, wish me luck
Always one of my favorite presenters (along with Elizabeth Shown Mills).
Once again, it shows me how very much more there is to genealogy beyond BMD, trees and census.
