Impressive\n\nIncredible list of resources. Very few presentations are available on French research. Kudos!\n\nLooking forward to the next two parts of this series! Definitely kept me interested.\n\nLove the homework \n\nOh my what a good webinar. I learned a lot about researching in France. Thank you\n\nOne of the best ever. I especially like the practice homework. It was a little hard to follow everything at a quick pace when you're not familiar with the French language.\n\nOne of the best genealogy webinars I've attended recently. Well organized and a really thorough overview of the resources and how to use them. With the withdrawal of FHL films, using the French archive websites and other digital resources is just about the only way to do this research without traveling to France. I think it would have been useful to provide a high level illustration of the relationships between the tables décennales and actes on one high-level slide.\n\nPaul is an excellent communicator! First task for me (as a result of this webinar) is to research my sixth great grandparents and my seventh great grandparents who were French Lutherans in Alsace using Paul’s guidance. However, very good explanation of the intricacies and challenges of understanding the structure of French localities and where to look for records. Looking forward to parts 2 & 3.\n\nI love the fact that he included exercises for hands-on learning. More webinars should do this -- an excellent way to learn a new skill!!\n\nI was interested to note that Paul was able to read the 'old French' records. I discovered these old records are not able to be translated by many French speaking people and ended up using a specialist translating service. Perhaps this could be mentioned in future webinars etc.
