Thank you for the great presentation. I love the idea of putting a son or daughter in the file name for a family member's children who are not my ancestor. I will be implementing this into my file names.

Thank-you for this video. I've also decided that storing on my own computer's Explorer works best. \nSuggestion - For surnames I also use their bday before their name - as a file name- so the family is sorted chronologically. \nI needed the reminder to gather all my files from various places!

Does this method work well with the Legacy program? In other words, when Legacy uses a pathway to search for a location on my computer, will this method of organization in this video work well with Legacy?\nCheryl Colyer

Thank you! This is basically what I am trying to do, but have gotten way behind. Really helps to see/hear that what I'm doing can work. I'm tackling my desktop horde of genealogy related files today!

I am forever looking for files on my computer. I am embarrassed to say, sometimes I think I've found new discoveries but it is what I'd already downloaded in past but not filed. I make the mistake of trying to rename everything, get overwhelmed and give up. Not this time.\nThanks!

Great information. I have been doing research for 40+ years and am converting from the mixture of paper and digital to digital. This is such a help.

Excellent quick and easy-to-do organization system. I like the "+" sign before an important folder to keep it at the top of the folders! So useful.
