What happens when the indirect evidence of a death occurring and a probate record don't agree? The research begins in earnest! That's what happened in the case of the death of Antoine/Anthony Lallament of Mobile, Alabama. Who is Antoine and what relationship is he to me? When did he actually die? Which record is correct? What would other available records reveal? How is the explosion of the Steamer Kate involved? We have more questions than answers. This case study provides the research methodology involved in solving this problem.

Very good detective work by Ann - her presentation was very clear and she made her decision points and thoughts very clear - thank you Ann
Wow! What a story. The most useful concept: lay out all the records available within an area before you start and don’t hesitate to add more if you find more.
fantastic, great case study, masterful work
I am grateful for the insight into the accreditation process and walking through the steps Ann took to resolve this challenge. Love the handout with so many resources!
This webinar was great! Gave me a better understanding on how to research and use indirect information to come to a conclusion.
Great presentation! Love the "Case Studies." Thank you!
Excellent. The researcher just kept on digging and exploring more records until she finally found proof. This is an example for us all.
