The British Army went everywhere in the world. They kept wonderful records but they are different for officers and enlisted men. This lecture uses case studies to trace involvement of officers and enlisted men in different theatres around the world. The lecture highlights what is available from 1660 to WWI, when the records change markedly.

    Paul Milner is the best! I always enjoy his presentations.\n\nPresented well & easy to understand.\n\nQuick, but loads of useful information. Thanks\n\nReally fascinating! And it gave me some ideas for searching for my Napoleonic War ancestor and my War of 1812 ancestors. Thank you!\n\nSo knowledgeable! I don't think I have any applicable ancestors, but it was interesting to listen to.\n\nTHANK YOU SO MUCH\n\nthanks again for another brickwall buster\n\nThis is a good one, I may find my info about my ancestor who was in the British army. Thank you\n\nThis topic can obviously not be covered in the time allowed. wow . I appreciated following the process with the soldier and walking us thru, even quickly, how to discover information. He is an excellent presentor and is so informed on various topics. I also appreciate it when the 'host'/'moderator is brief with house keeping issues ie intro, drawing of prize.
