My Aunt and Uncle lived in an orange grove in Lake County, FL between 1949 and the late 1980s (today's Howey-in-the-Hills). I found their deeds and mortgages and satisfacions on the Lae County clerk's web site several years ago. I wish all jurisdictions did what Lake did ! Still, it always pays to look, or give the office a call and ask.
