\n \nWhat do these men have in common? Learning to recognize and understand information contained in county court minute books and order books along with other types of routine court records will require effort to determine the appropriate law regarding the entry and the prevailing tradition of the community. In order to have a better understanding of the laws in place regarding the construction and maintenance of roads, we should review the state laws in place at the time.

This was in Washington state in the early 1900s.\n\nI had found some of this info but did not know what to do with it. Now I can go back and use it. Very easy to follow talk.\n\nI had no idea these minute and record books existed, or even that people were required to work to maintain the roads. Having such crews makes perfect sense, of course, because somehow those roads were created and maintained. Amazing, truly amazing!
